Q 1: How do candidates select their examination centers for the Computer Based Examination (CBE)?

Answer: Candidates must select three Centres of their choice anywhere in the Country for the Computer Based Examination, in the order of priority, within their Online Application Form. This selection must be done carefully.

Q 2: Can a candidate request a change of examination center after selection?

Answer: No, a request for change of Centre will not be considered later under any circumstances. Candidates are advised to select their centers carefully.

Q 3: What are the different stages involved in the overall examination process?

Answer: The examination consists of the following stages: (i) Computer Based Examination, (ii) Physical Endurance and Measurement Test (PE&MT)/ Document Verification (DV), (iii) Trade Test, and (iv) Medical Examination of the recommended candidates.

Q 4: What is the structure of the Computer Based Examination (CBE)?

Answer: The CBE is an objective type multiple choice paper containing 100 questions carrying 100 marks. It includes Part-A: General Awareness (20 questions, 20 marks), Part-B: General Intelligence (20 questions, 20 marks), Part-C: Numerical Ability (10 questions, 10 marks), and Part-D: Road Sense, Vehicle Maintenance, Traffic Rules/Signals, vehicle & environmental pollution (50 questions, 50 marks). The total time allotted is 90 minutes.

Q 5: Is there any negative marking in the Computer Based Examination?

Answer: Yes, there will be negative marking of 0.25 marks for each wrong answer. Candidates should keep this in mind while answering questions.
