🎓 Post Qualifications - CEN 01/2024: Recruitment of Assistant Loco Pilot (ALP)
Matriculation / SSLC plus ITI from NCVT/SCVT in specified trades (Fitter, Electrician, Instrument Mechanic, Millwright/Maintenance Mechanic, Mechanic Radio & TV, Electronics Mechanic, Mechanic Motor Vehicle, Wireman, Tractor Mechanic, Armature & Coil Winder, Mechanic Diesel, Heat Engine, Turner, Machinist, Refrigeration & Air-Conditioning Mechanic)
OR Matriculation / SSLC plus Course Completed Act Apprenticeship in the above trades
OR Matriculation / SSLC plus three years Diploma in Mechanical / Electrical / Electronics / Automobile Engineering
OR Combination of various streams of these Engineering disciplines from a recognised Institution (Degree acceptable in lieu of Diploma)
📄 Selection Process
Stages: CBT-1, CBT-2, CBAT, Document Verification (DV), and Medical Examination. CBT-1 is a screening exam. CBT-2 consists of Part-A (shortlisting) and Part-B (qualifying 35%). CBAT weightage: 70% CBT-2 Part-A + 30% CBAT. Negative marking @1/3rd for CBT-1 & CBT-2. No negative marking in CBAT.
📄 Reservation Policy
Vertical reservation for EWS, SC, ST, OBC-NCL. Horizontal reservation for Ex-Servicemen. EBC candidates are eligible only for fee concession, not job reservation. Community status as on closing date applies.
📄 Medical Standards
Medical Standard: A-1. Distant Vision: 6/6, 6/6 without glasses. Near Vision: Sn. 0.6, 0.6 without glasses. Colour, Binocular, Field, Night Vision: Normal. LASIK or corrective eye surgery candidates are not eligible.
